Speakers
Stephen Webber
Emmy-winning songwriter Stephen Webber's innovative teaching helps propel his Berklee College of Music students to the top of the US music charts--- garnering multi-platinum records and Grammy Awards in pop, rock, hip-hop, country and CCM.
Hundreds of millions of people have witnessed Professor Webber's revolutionary teaching through features on NBC, CBS & CNN television networks, National Public Radio, and in the New York Times and Rolling Stone Magazine.
Stephen's distinct approach to coaching songwriters, recording artists, producers and engineers is informed by a career that includes producing over 100 albums, and original research into the elements of effective records that integrates Webber's exclusive, in-depth interviews with scores of top record producers, including Sir George Martin (the Beatles), Phil Ramone (Paul Simon, Billy Joel), and Don Was (the Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt).
Webber himself is an enigmatic Renaissance man on the US music scene; the range of artists he records and performs with is especially wide, and includes Bela Fleck, Meshell Ndegeocello, Emmylou Harris and Grandmixer DXT. He's designed recording studios for Dreamworks, written best-selling books on DJing, produced records for Sony, Epic and Universal (including number-one hits for CCM artists), conducted film scores at Lucasfilm's Skywalker Ranch, and composed a full symphony that features the turntable as a musical instrument.
