Tristan Goodall

Tristan Goodall is the mutli-instrumentalist and co-writer of award winning Australian band The Audreys. He is regularly involved in songwriting workshops and also teaches music. He plays electric and acoustic guitar alongside the banjo and has a mighty fine collection of retro suits and hats.

The Audreys are one of Australia’s highest profile alt country/roots band, with a trifecta of ARIA wins for all three of their albums. Sometimes The Stars, When the Flood Comes and Between Last Night and Us, won the ARIA for The Best Blues & Roots album in 2011, 2008 and 2006 respectively.

Between Last Night and Us is also a Gold certified album. They are a critics’ favorite in Australia, with both albums appearing in the best album polls of those years, including When The Flood Comes making Rolling Stone’s Top 50 albums of 2008 (#39).

Their music has appeared in several high-profile international and Australian film and TV productions, including One Tree Hill. “Rain Shadow,” an entire six-part TV drama starring Rachel Ward, exclusively featured instrumental and album versions of the band’s music. They are fronted by the beautiful and enigmatic Taasha and with songwriting partner and guitarist Tristan Goodall they have built a large and loyal Australian fan base through intensive touring. They have also toured in Canada, the US and the UK, including the Stan Rodgers Folk Festival, Mariposa Folk Festival, Folk Alliance and the Great Escape Festival. Both albums are distributed though ABC/Universal in Australia.

Sometimes the Stars, their third record, was released in Australia in October 2010. It debuted at #28 on the national ARIA charts and at #2 on the national Blues and Roots Chart.
