Troy held the role of Australian Artist Marketing and A&R Manager role at major label BMG for seven years where he oversaw the redevelopment of the rooArt label and worked with artists such as You Am I, Custard, The Mark Of Cain and Augie March. In 2001 Troy accepted a role as Director of Marketing and Promotions for Hot Press Magazine in Dublin, Ireland and was involved in establishing the Irish Music Awards alongside the magazine and the BBC network. Hub Management was founded in 2003 and operated offices in Dublin and Los Angeles, managing artists on both sides of the Atlantic. Troy returned to Australia in 2006 and promptly went about establishing an Australian roster which included signing Dappled Cities and Old Man River.
In 2008 Hub Artist Services was created as a new joint venture between Hub Management and J. Albert & Sons, Australia’s oldest publishing company and home of AC/DC. The new venture was established in response to the demands placed upon the management business from the great international success of the Old Man River project where the artist held the #1 position in the Japanese charts alongside Top 5 charts in territories as diverse as Italy and Korea. It was through this period that Troy met and began working with one of Old Man Rivers backing vocalists, a young lass named Megan Washington, on her early solo material. Megan has gone on to win multiple ARIA awards, APRA awards and various other industry accolades and has sold more than 100,000 copies of her debut album, ‘I Believe You Liar’.
Troy recently announced the formation of Hub The Label. A boutique label partnership with Inertia and the latest addition to the Hub Artist Services business model.
The current management roster includes: Dappled Cities, Glass Towers, John Castle (Producer), Jordan Leser, The Curse Of Company, Megan Washington and Winter People.
Hub has hosted industry artist showcases in NYC, LA, London, Dublin, Sydney, Manchester and Austin.
