Peter is a 20 year U.S. music industry veteran. Most of his time working has been spent in music publishing with Windswept Pacific, LA Reids, HITCO and Nettwerk One Music Publishing. Early on he acquired the catalogues of industry icon Pete Townshend (The Who and Townshend solo Catalogues) to alternative act Nine Inch Nails. He took a turn at managing UK artist Tricky (3 million sold worldwide) and partnering on a production team that put together the Area One music festival
Since 2003 he has returned to publishing, working for the Windswept JV HITCO (co owned by Antonio “LA” Reid), then to Nettwerk One Music (a division of Nettwerk Music Group). During this time, he has firmly engaged in the world of pop music. Peter has represented writers that are responsible for hit songs of Britney Spears, Madonna, J Lo, Celine Dion, Beyonce, Usher, Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus and Jordin Sparks, Shontelle, Pussycat Dolls, Cobra Starship, Leona Lewis and more.
From 2005, Peter began travelling to Asia regularly and has been been instrumental in placing songs and developing collaborations in various territories. He was responsible for the 2008 “Song of the Year” in Japan, the 2007 Beijing Pop Music Ceremony’s Golden Song plus various top 10 Australian singles. His writers have worked with Kumi Koda, Namie Amuro, Tojoshinki, Def Tech, Chemistry, Meisa, China’s Li Yuchun, Sun Nan and forthcoming songs by Korean acts the Wondergirls, 2pm and Miss A.
He is also the co-founder of the Bali Songwriting Summit, an annual songwriting retreat for top level artists and songwriters from around the world. Peter is currently developing the publishing division of Bill Silva Management in Los Angeles.
