Katie Brown

While finishing up studies in Event Management & Music Business, Katie got her start managing bands & running an all ages music venue in Five Dock. During this time Katie worked her way from being an intern at The Music Network to becoming the Assistant Editor. It wasn’t until her position as Content & Licensing Co-ordinator at Carbon Music & Entertainment that she was opened up to the wonderful world of copyright; compiling & licensing both physical & digital premiums for Australian publications & brands. Katie then spent some time supporting the opening of synch agency Sticky Sounds before landing herself at GAGA Music.

Katie is currently the Licensing Manager at GAGA Music, sourcing & negotiating licensing opportunities for our artists across advertising, film & TV. Some of those artists include The Black Keys, Holly Throsby (Seeker Lover Keeper), Andrew Bird, Animal Collective, Bill Callahan, Big Scary, Broken Social Scene, Harry Angus (Cat Empire / Jackson Jackson), Foreign Beggars and Patrick Watson – you can check out a full list on our website.

GAGA was set up to give artists we love every opportunity to earn a living from their craft. We offer creative opportunities and accurate, hassle-free administration with very friendly terms.

Since its beginnings in 2007, GAGA has branched out into many other areas of the music world including our own digital label, which gets the music we love into digital stores around the world.
