I’ve been working as a musician/composer/producer/sound engineer for almost twenty years now. I discovered Production music in the mid 90′s when I started doing sound design and got very acquainted with most libraries from all over the world. Towards the end of the 90′s I decided that I needed a change of career so I basically knocked on all of the¬†three major production music companies doors and asked them for a job.

As luck had it BMG Zomba had a job going to run the Melbourne office and they took me on. They had asked me in the initial interview what my plans and goals were for the future and I told them that I wanted to start my very own Production Music library using primarily Australian and New Zealand writers to give my musician friends an actual income from music. BMG told me to hold that thought and just settle into the position then they’ll think about it.

I decided that to get cracking on it straight away so that when they hopefully asked me to produce it I was ready to go. There were some management changes within BMG and I was brought back to Sydney to take care of all the high end clients along with finally starting my own Library. Vitamin A was born and¬†five years on it’s doing extremely well earning great revenue world wide for such a generally small Australian catalogue.

I now call home Universal Publishing Production Music taking care of all TV Promo’s around Australia as well as all of our New Zealand clients.
