About Dave Stewart
Stewart rose to prominence in 1983 as one half of seminal UK duo Eurythmics, whose hits included “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)”, “Who’s That Girl?” and “Would I Lie To You?”. Since then he’s co-written with and produced for Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty, Bono, Sinead O’Connor, Mick Jagger, Katy Perry, Jon Bon Jovi, and Joss Stone.
He’s also performed in various projects of his own, most recently releasing a solo record called The Blackbird Diaries and collaborating with Mick Jagger, Damian Marley, Joss Stone and A. R. Rahman in the group SuperHeavy. Overall, Stewart’s music career has seen three decades and over 100 million album sales.
Stewart’s work outside of the music world is just as impressive. He’s participated in a number of philanthropic and non-profit projects, from Greenpeace to Stand Up to Cancer, and worked personally with Nelson Mandela on his innovative 46664 campaign. He’s also released a highly-regarded business tome now in eight languages (The Business Playground: Where Creativity and Commerce Collide), directed and produced a number of short films and movies, and developed his own media company (Weapons of Mass Entertainment).
